THE PASTOR’S CORNER

Dear Saints,

I am filled with enthusiasm for the opportunity to serve at Village Point United Methodist Church.  God has certainly touched us in a special way that so many lives are being touched with our vision and our mission.  “We seek to serve our parish, our local community and the world as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.”

Someone once said, if we are afraid to use our time, abilities or energies on something worthwhile, there may well be a time when we can’t.  This notion reminds me of God’s Church and everything that needs to be done in order to further His love and grow His Kingdom.

As people of faith, Jesus draws us together so that we may work and serve as one with Him and each other as we minister through this congregation to others.  This reminds me too of John Wesley’s Rule;  “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.”

It is my prayer that we shall never lose sight of our purpose.  We shall never grow weary of serving Him who draws us to Him through His endless love.
